Hubby would have liked to keep drinking at another location, but I managed to convince him how nice it is to have a few drinks...go out for diner, then go home and sleep...as opposed to going out and getting wasted then making it home to sleep LMAO.
He agreed and we ended up at Denny's - he had a huge burger and fries, I had eggs benedict (which I could only eat a 1/4 of!!) and a fudge cake to take home...which I might add, was farkin DRY as heck!! Not happy.
Anyway...was a lovely night. This morning, the kids are still at the inlaws and will stay there till tomorrow as we are all working tonight, lil bro, myself and hubby.
So not sure what today holds in store...prolly just stay home, TRY to get some baking done...general housework...nothing terribly exciting :)
12:30pm - I am on a roll lol. Mini carrot cakes - cooked. A new chocolate cake recipe cooking...check! All the laundry done - yes sir lol. Have just got so's school shirt and miss 14's white singlets soaking in nappysan...will leave till sunday morning then rinse and hang out.
Had gorgeous omelet for breakie...egg, spring onion, dash of light soy sauce, S&P...and of course cheese, on Ploughman's sunflower and barley...Mmm.
House smells fantastic with all the spice from the carrot cakes. Have been told that cream cheese icing freezes well...so will ice them up before throwing into the freezer :) This is baking for the kids lunches...remember I'm going to kick start our new routine lol.
Have got some bacon out defrosting, might make some bacon and egg pies to freeze for 'easy meal' night :)
8pm - well, didn't manage to make any bacon and egg pies, but I will get around to it tomorrow. Hubby and lil bro are at work, they start at 7pm, I start at 10:15pm.
The new chocolate cake recipe that I used today is awesome! It's a 'strange' but oh so easy recipe! It uses 1 c oil, 2 cups of milk and you just put everything in the bowl at the same time and mix...then you add 2c boiling water - which I did and immediately thought 'Shit - it's runnier than pancake batter!!" but trusted the recipe - and poured it into the tin anyway...and 1 hour later - OMG - the perfect cake!! MOIST and oh so YUMMY!!
The kids will love it :) And I WILL make this again - especially for family functions as it makes a HUGE roasting tin full!!
Made diner, spicy chicken chop suey - YUMMY!!
2:30am - just got back from work :) Took a huge slab of chocolate cake to work for hubby's crew...finished the lot - very popular and much appreciated :)
My neck hurts - must have been the way I slept last night or this afternoon?? Hubby might be home at 3:30am, so I'm just gonna hang out on the net n watch a bit of telly till he gets home :)
I cannot wait until my eating is satisfied with so little food. It must be a good decision. Could u possibly post the whole chocolate cake recipe? Sounds gr8.
