away from finishing my jacket, which everyone in class is super impressed with, not only how quick I completed it, but also the style!! Miss 14 is still 'iffy' about it...and reckons only someone with 'balls' could wear it lol....hmmm ok!!
Well I 'like' it. I don't love it cos it doesn't fit me as tight as I'd like, I'm going to make it again 2 sizes smaller.
Did I mention that I've won an overlocker off Trademe? Well I have and I can't wait to get it - picking it up on Friday :) It's not too far from where I am going to be picking up the vinyl that I won to cover my cutting table once it's made...with the 2 old doors that I won for $10 - OMGosh I'm a bargain hunter (or am I a tight arse??) lol!!
I cut a pattern for a simple but cute top I designed yesterday. Will make that up today, shouldn't take more than a couple of hours, so I'll make up another pattern for another top I want to make...it's Easter weekend, which means I won't have a class on Monday *boo hoo* that sucks :( I love class...will miss not having to go in BUT I will have my overlocker and of course my flat sewer so fingers crossed the overlocker is as perfect as my flat sewer and I can design and sew to my hearts content!! *yay*
Oh yesterday I finished class at 12pm as I had to take miss 14 to get her bloods done. There was no one else in the medlab so we didn't have the usual 1 hour wait we have had to have int he past...thank god, I HATE waiting!! I also had my bloods done...was supposed to have them done about 3-4 months ago...but only finally got around to it yesterday *spank me I'm bad lol*. I'm sure I'm low in 'some vitamin' cos I'm always sooo tired, so will be interesting to see what my results are...as for Miss 14 - I hope there is nothing abnormal in her tests, she only has one kidney...but healthy otherwise.
My dad comes back today from his sisters place. It's my lil bro's 22nd b'day today (Aprils fools day lol) so I have taken out a HUGE leg of pork to roast for diner...will have all the trimmings Mmmm.
9:20pm - what a bloody day!!
I went to class...cut and completed a top - will post a pic tomorrow! Left class as 12pm - straight to the fabric store to get my 'fix' - the guy who works there asked how things were going, I told him great, told him about the machines I bought. Asked me if I had a cutting table then he offered me one they had for sale...Hmmm...ok. So we went out the back and had a look at it. it was HUGE...but I thought yeah, good price :)
Called my lil bro to meet me out there asap with his van. He turns up 30mins later with our dad. And hello...the table is on two separate bases...and neither of them fit in the van!! So out comes the screw driver and it takes nearly an hour to take the bloody thing apart!! Eventually get it into the van...table top hanging half-ass out the back of the van lol.
But we manage to get it home safely by about 3:30pm
As soon as we got home though, hubby, dad and lil bro all go to Bunnings hardware to buy the supplies for our garage roof they're gonna repair tomorrow...they get back at about 5:30pm...
As soon as they get home dad and I shoot straight to the new countdown supermarket that opened 2 days ago...my god, you'd think half of Auckland never knew what a supermarket was!! It was packed!! And the supermarket is huge!! I was buggered! Told dad I couldn't be bothered doing all the isles...let's just get what we came for and get outta here! So we did. And home we came :)
By then the huge pork roast we had cooking since 2pm was PERFECT!! Took it out of the oven, made a gravy, Dad made the apple sauce, kumara (sweet potato) and potatoes. We were too buggered to cook anything else to go with it to be honest!
Hubby went to work at 8pm. Me dad, and lil bro attempted to put one of the two bases (for my cutting table) together - what a mission that was!! Almost got one of them done...but decided to give it a rest and leave it for the morning. Phew!!
Had a really late diner...but oh so yummy!!
And now...now I'm just totally buggered!! Poor hubby...he'll prolly finish in the morning around 7pm. He doesn't have to work tomorrow night, but he does work Saturday night. So not much of a long weekend huh?? Plus the big job we have tomorrow of re-roofing the garage...bless him lol.
Anyway, I'm feeling REALLY tired...off to bed now. Nighty night :)
